Things to do in gatlinburg ; Looks like a john woo movie/homage/ripoff, which could be a good thing. “shoot ‘em up,” thankfully, does not make the same mistake.
“shoot ’em up” is a witless, soulless, heartless movie that mistakes noise for bravura and tastelessness for wit.
July 27th, 2020 at 10:22 pm. This is a whompingly good action movie that is as much parody of its genre as it is a good story. Smith delivers a woman's baby during a shootout, and is then called upon to protect the newborn from the army of gunmen. Shoot 'em up is the kind of film that's perfect to watch with your mates and just enjoy its nonsense and that's all it's good for, the story is simple and nothing new but the action is so ott that.
