What would the apostle paul, who labored so faithfully in helping to establish the church, think of what it has become 20 centuries down the road from the crucifixion and resurrection of jesus christ. The audience score, however, is a healthy 93 percent approval, according to rotten tomatoes.
The movie is very faithful to scripture and truly honoring to god in all it presents.
I was blessed to see an early screening of the new christian movie, paul, apostle of christ last week. Set in the uk circa 1905, apostle stars stevens as thomas richardson, the disgraced son of a wealthy family who is called upon when his sister jennifer (elen rhys) is kidnapped and held for. As a valuable resource for catechetical instruction, moreover, the movie makes acceptable and worthwhile. The film grippingly tells the story of paul whilst highlighting the plight of persecution and how we should respond, how we should love our enemies and show christ’s love and pray for those who persecute us, and lets also pray for the christians who are still persecuted even today.
